Admission Requirements, Assessment Criteria and Certification Criteria for MSU Program

Admission Requirements:

  • Academic Background: Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Prior Experience: Experience in Architecture, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and a strong understanding of Engineering and Architectural concepts are essential.

Certification Criteria

To earn "BIM-Ready Complete Certification", the student candidate must successfully complete all training modules as per the assessment criteria to earn required credits and demonstrate their skills.

  • Total Credits: 25
  • Minimum Score: 5 CGPA (out of 10)

Assessment Criteria:

  • Internship Project (25% Weightage): You will undertake a real-world BIM project, allowing you to apply your learnings to a practical scenario. Your project will be evaluated based on its complexity, adherence to BIM standards, and overall quality.
    • Minimum Passing Criteria: Satisfactory submission of the project as deemed by the program instructors. The project should meet the minimum requirements outlined in the program curriculum.
  • Daily Progress (40%Weightage): Consistent attendance, active participation in daily assignments, and successful completion of daily tests are crucial for your success. This category accounts for a significant portion of your overall grade. Attendance:10% Weightage Daily Test: 10% Weightage Daily Assignments: 20% Weightage

      Minimum Passing Criteria:

    1. Attendance: Minimum attendance of 70% throughout the program.
    2. Daily Assignments & Tests: The combined average score across daily assignments and tests must be at least 50%.
    3. This signifies a strong understanding of the concepts covered in daily activities
  • Module-wise Assessment (25% Weightage): Student’s understanding of each module will be assessed through practical examinations specifically designed for that module. Performing well in these assessments demonstrates his mastery of the BIM concepts covered.
    • Minimum Passing Criteria: Must achieve a score of at least 50% on all module-wise assessments. This ensures a solid grasp of the key takeaways from each module.
  • Portfolio Presentation (10% Weightage): Students will have the opportunity to showcase their BIM skills and knowledge through a portfolio presentation. Additionally.
